Accessibility statement
We want every family, including children and parents with disabilities, to be able to use speakykid equally, independently and comfortably. This statement says what is accessible today, what is not yet, and how to tell us about a problem.
speakykid is a project of See Guru. Payments are collected by See Guru.
1. About the service
speakykid (speakykid.com) is operated by SEE GURU, INC. It offers online English lessons with teachers for children and teenagers aged 4 to 17, a practice space for children and a parent area. We work to make the site accessible in line with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the service accessibility regulations of 2013.
2. The standard we aim for
Our target is Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and WCAG 2.1 at level AA. The site is partially accessible: many parts already meet these guidelines, and the known gaps are listed below. We will not describe the site as conforming until these gaps are fixed and an external review confirms it.
3. What is accessible today
The site, its forms and most games can be used with a keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space and Esc), and buttons and links in focus are outlined. Each page declares its language and direction: Hebrew and Arabic are shown right to left. Pages have one main heading and a clear structure, and the child area has a link that skips straight to the content. Most buttons and pictures have text names for screen readers. The site respects the reduced motion setting of the device. Right and wrong answers are shown in words, not only in colour. In most games there is no time limit, and in Colour Hunt a button stops the bubbles. Pages work on narrow phone screens and at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling. Buttons on orange carry dark text with the contrast the standard asks for.
4. Known limitations in the games
In Sound Hunt, Listen and Catch, Pair Up and Sort It the task is to understand an English word by ear, so the word is only heard and not written; the word can be played again, but these games need hearing. Games with a written word, such as Word Match, Missing Letter and Word Builder, are an alternative. In Colour Hunt telling colours apart is the task itself: the colour name is written and spoken, but some pairs are hard to tell apart for children with colour blindness. In What's Gone the pictures stay on screen for only a few seconds before one disappears. In Word Match and Pair Up a screen reader names the picture options by number, not by what they show. Talking with Speaky, the AI friend, is done by voice; it is optional and does not affect lessons with the teacher.
5. Other known limitations
Some small captions in the games have lower contrast than the standard asks for. English words inside Hebrew or Russian text are not always marked as English, so a screen reader may pronounce them the wrong way. The spoken Hebrew voice is missing on some desktop computers, because it depends on the voices installed on the device. The live lesson with the teacher takes place in a video room in the browser, and its accessibility also depends on the video service behind that room. We are working on these points and will update this statement when they change.
6. How we checked
The last check was an internal review on 30 September 2026 in the Chrome browser, on a computer and with phone screen sizes: keyboard use, automated tests of contrast and page structure, narrow screens and 200% zoom. It was not an external audit and was not done with a screen reader.
7. Physical accessibility
speakykid works only online. There is no office where visitors are received.
8. Report a problem or ask for an adjustment
If something on the site is not accessible to you or your child, or you need an adjustment, write to speakykid support: support@speakykid.com, WhatsApp at +1 442-222-2841 or @speakykid_bot on Telegram. The accessibility coordinator is speakykid support, support@speakykid.com. Please tell us the page address, what happened, your device and browser, and any assistive technology you use. We will reply and fix the problem within a reasonable time, and no later than the 60 days set by the Israeli regulations.
