Terms of service

1. The service and account

speakykid combines scheduled teacher lessons with a child area, vocabulary and optional activities. The parent provides accurate contact and child profile details, protects access codes and oversees age-appropriate use. Do not share access with unrelated people or use another family’s profile.

2. Trial and bookings

The advertised trial is a 25-minute individual lesson and does not require a bank card. Submitting contact details or confirming a number is not a completed booking. A lesson is booked only when the service confirms its time and teacher. Availability depends on the schedule. Check the lesson date and time in the parent area, on the Schedule page. Each child can have one free trial lesson. A family can book up to three free trial lessons this way; any further trial lesson only with the agreement of speakykid support.

3. Payment by See Guru

See Guru, operated by SEE GURU, INC., is the payment recipient for speakykid. Questions about charges go to speakykid support. The regular course price does not depend on the teacher, and prices marked “from” on this website are the lowest price among our plans; before paying, review the price, currency, included lessons, duration, renewal terms and payment method shown at checkout. Viewing this website creates no purchase or subscription. Your bank statement may identify See Guru and include information from the payment provider.

4. Course, renewal, cancellation and refunds

The course is bought for 6 or 12 months and paid in monthly installments, as many as the months of the course; the price for your child, the installments and the total are shown before you pay. All the lessons of the course are credited to the child’s balance right after the first payment, and you put them in the schedule yourself. The remaining installments are charged automatically once a month, on the day of the month of the first payment (on the last day of a shorter month), and the lessons stay yours between payments. A discount after the trial lesson applies to the first term only; a renewal is at the regular price. ⁨The course renews for the same length unless you turn renewal off in the parent area. Turning it off never cuts short the course you are already in.⁩ ⁨If you change your mind: within 14 days of the purchase, and before the first course lesson takes place, you get a full refund. The free trial lesson does not count.⁩

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the purchase without giving a reason, with the “Withdraw from the contract” button on the Subscription page of the parent area or by writing to Speakykid support. The lessons start within those 14 days only if you expressly ask for it at checkout. If you then withdraw after lessons were held, you pay for those lessons in proportion to the course price (the price of the term divided by its lessons, for each lesson held), and we refund the rest of what you paid to the payment method you used, with no other charge.

Israel: under the Consumer Protection Law you may cancel the purchase within 14 days of it, or of receiving the purchase confirmation if that came later, with the “End the course early” request on the Subscription page or by writing to Speakykid support. Before the first course lesson we refund everything. After it we refund what you paid minus the lessons already held and a cancellation fee of 5% of the course price or 100 NIS, whichever is lower.

After that, you can still end the course early where the law of your country gives you that right: send the request from the Subscription page or write to Speakykid support, and before acting on it we confirm in writing what it means for your money and the remaining lessons. ⁨A lesson cancelled more than 4 hours before it starts goes back to the balance. With 4 hours or less to go it counts as held, and with 30 minutes or less it can be cancelled only through support. The free trial lesson is simply cancelled.⁩ Your mandatory consumer rights remain in force.

5. Connection and optional activities

Lessons take place in the browser, in our lesson room: there is nothing to install. The lesson room opens on see.guru, the platform speakykid runs on. A computer or tablet with a camera and headphones works best, with a working internet connection. Lessons with a teacher are recorded for the parent, and a short lesson report is made from the recording, as the privacy policy explains; a parent can ask speakykid support to stop recording their child’s lessons. Enable the microphone or camera only for the activity you choose. AI time and hero generation depend on the limits shown in the interface. Games and AI conversations are optional and do not gate an assigned teacher lesson. Report technical failures to speakykid support with the lesson time; never include a password.

6. Learning and AI limits

The teacher can discuss the starting point and pace. Age bands on the landing are examples, not an automatic level assignment. Stars and game scores are not certificates. No specific learning result or fluency deadline is guaranteed. AI answers and generated pictures can be wrong; an adult should supervise optional AI use as appropriate and report inappropriate output. AI is not a replacement for the teacher or professional advice.

7. Respectful use and content

Treat teachers and other people respectfully. Do not upload another person’s private information, infringing or unsafe content, interfere with the service or try to access another account. Lesson materials and platform artwork remain protected by their owners. Access allows personal learning use; it does not grant a right to republish lessons or other people’s recordings. Rights in AI-generated material may depend on applicable law and provider terms.

8. Privacy, support and changes

The privacy policy explains the data involved and the parent’s choices. See Guru may restrict access where necessary to protect accounts or address misuse, and speakykid support explains the available resolution. Write to speakykid support about service failures, billing disputes or an account request: support@speakykid.com, WhatsApp at +1 442-222-2841 or @speakykid_bot on Telegram. Changes to these terms are dated, and material changes affecting an existing purchase are communicated. Your mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain in force, including rights to seek a remedy under applicable law.

9. Plan changes and invitations

While renewal is on, you can choose another plan for the next term on the Subscription page: 2, 3 or 4 lessons a week, for 6 or 12 months. The monthly price of each plan is shown before you confirm. The new plan starts with the next term, on the renewal date shown there: on that date its lessons are added to the balance, and the new monthly amount is charged from the payment after it. Nothing is charged when you change the plan, and the lessons and payments of the current term stay as they are. Until the renewal you can choose again or go back to the current plan. If the payment provider does not accept the new amount, the course renews on its current plan at its current price. The plan of a course paid together for several children is changed through speakykid support.

A family that has paid for at least one course month gets a personal invitation link in the parent area. When a family that opened that link, and has not bought a speakykid course before, pays for its first course month, each of the two families gets one extra 25-minute lesson with its course teacher, free of charge, added to the child’s balance. This happens once per invited family, and not when the two families are in fact one, for example with the same phone number, email address or payment card. An inviting family receives up to 10 such lessons in any 12 months; the invited family receives its lesson even after that limit. A free lesson has no cash value, is not exchanged for money or refunded, and is booked and cancelled like any other lesson. The link carries a short code that the site keeps in the browser for up to 30 days and sends with the trial booking or the course payment; the inviting family sees only how many families came and how many free lessons it received, never who they are. We may change or end invitations for the future; lessons already credited stay.
