How do I book a free trial lesson for my child?
On the "Book a free trial lesson" page you write your child's name and age and your phone number, confirm with a code that comes in a message, and choose a day and time. The lesson is 25 minutes with a teacher on a video call, free and without a credit card.
Step by step
- On the "Book a free trial lesson" page, at the "Child" step: write "Child's name", choose "Age" and type "Your phone". "English level, if you know it" can be skipped. Tap "Continue".Already have an account? Tap "Log in" next to "Already learning with us?". After logging in you choose the child ("Who is the lesson for?") and go straight to choosing the time.
- At the "Verification" step ("Enter the code"): the code comes by SMS or WhatsApp, as the screen says. Type it: after the last digit the next screen opens by itself (you can also tap "Confirm").
- At the "Lesson time" step ("What time works for you?"): choose a day and time. "Later dates" shows the rest of the week. We match a teacher from those free at the time you choose.
- Tap "Book this time".
- That's it: "You are booked" appears, with the day and time. On a phone? Tap "Send the link to the computer" to open the lesson on a computer or tablet.
How you know it worked
"You are booked" appears, with your child's free trial lesson, your child's name, the day and the time. In the parent area a "Free trial lesson" card shows the time.
Before the lesson
A computer or tablet with a camera and headphones is best. The lesson runs in the browser: nothing to install. Young children may need an adult next to them at first.
Something not working?
The code did not arrive
check that the number is right. If it is wrong, tap "Change the number". After a minute you can tap "Send again".
The message that your child's free trial lesson is already booked or done appears
there is one free trial lesson for each child. You find the lesson already booked in the parent area.
"Your family has booked its free trial lessons" appears
one trial lesson for each child, for up to three children. To book another one, write to us.
No suitable time
tap "Later dates" or "Next week". And you can write to Maya on WhatsApp: she can book the lesson for you.
