How does my child join the lesson?
Confirm the lesson with the link in the reminder ("Yes, we will be there"), check the camera and sound on the lesson device, and 15 minutes before the start tap the join button on the lesson card: until the room opens it says "Enter the waiting room", then "Join lesson". The lesson is in the browser, and there is nothing to install.
Step by step
- Confirm: the reminder for the trial lesson has a link. On the page that opens ("Will it work for you?") tap "Yes, we will be there". The time doesn't suit you? Tap "Choose another time".
- Get ready: a computer or tablet with a camera and headphones is best. Came in from the phone? On the lesson card tap "Send the link to the computer" and open the link on the lesson device.
- Check: on the lesson device open "Check the camera and sound" and allow access to the camera and microphone.
- Join: 15 minutes before the start the join button appears on the lesson card. Until the room opens it says "Enter the waiting room", then "Join lesson". Tap it.
- When the teacher is already in the lesson, the "Go" button appears. Tap it, and the lesson starts.Young children may need an adult next to them at first. At the end of the trial lesson you may be invited to the screen to hear how the lesson went, so it is a good idea to stay nearby.
